From making Christmas tree decorations to packing materials, you can use foam plastic balls.
If you use these balls for crafts, then you may want a size that is not easy to buy at the craft store.
In this case, you can choose to carve your own foam plastic ball with a piece of foam plastic.
Determine the size of your foam plastic ball.
You need to determine how long you want the diameter (
Length of center of ball)to be.
Cut out a cube from the foam block.
Its length, height and width should all be the same as the diameter you want.
Carve the rough shape of your foam plastic ball.
First shave off the corners of the cube to make it more rounded.
You can use a jagged knife for this.
Work slowly and make sure you don\'t cut too much at once.
Take the same amount from each corner and then evaluate the shape before removing more.
You may want to switch to a butter knife when you start to remove the foam less and less, which will allow you to rub the foam layer instead of slicing.
Put your foam plastic ball sand.
Once your ball is completely round, you can finish it by gently polishing it with sandpaper.
Do not press the ball hard or you will rub out more foam.
Use gentle pressure to make sure the edges are smooth instead of twisting the shape of the ball.
