Throwing pillows is a great addition to any piece of furniture.
They are easy to make!
Material: sewing machine needle thread (
Any size, any shape, any kind)Trim (optional)
Fluff, fillings or fillings no matter what you like. (
The pillows here are bean bag foam but you can use anything)
Tailor pin (
Any basic sewing needle)
You can use anything, I mean anything.
T-body
A shirt, an old tablecloth, and all your fabric.
I used some leftovers left while doing wall hanging.
Cut two squares of the same size.
No matter what size you want, just make sure you have enough material to make two pieces.
You can even cut out shapes that are different from squares. star-
Shape, triangle, Cloud. . . blob?
Anything you want!
Play your imagination
I like to use the shape of the straight edges as they are easier to stitch.
If you want your pillow to look beautiful, or to be pretentious, or trendy, or wild, you may want to add some decor. (
Don\'t worry, your pillow will be great even if you skip this step! )
You can find these things in the craft shop.
With tassels, gadgets, beads, string, lace, etc.
Pick whatever you like!
Make sure there is a woven strap on one side of it, which is to help sew it in the seam of the pillow. (
If you are more advanced in sewing, feel free to use any type of decoration, just modify these instructions as you need them. )1)
Measure all sides of one of your pieces.
This is how much trim you need.
It\'s also good to buy about 3 inch more than you need. 2)

This is an exciting shopping trip with lots of options. 3)
Nail the trim to the edge of the pillow (see next step)WITH Trim: (LESS EASY)
It takes some patience and attention.
It\'s all worth it in the end. 1)
Decide which side of the two pieces is the back and which side is the front. 2)
Put the front together and match the edge from the front to the front. 3)
Spread your fabric on a flat surface. 4)
Flip the edge of the top fabric up so you can see about 2 inch of the bottom fabric. 5)
Place your trim along the side of the fabric at the bottom, and place the woven band along the edge.
Stretch out about half an inch of decoration from the fabric in the corner. 6)
Replace the fabric at the top to make sure the edges are realigned. 7)
Fix the corners with extra decor.
Make sure you finish all three levels. 8)
Make sure everything is lined up and enter about 2 inch from another corner. (
This gives you enough space to do the next edge)9)
Pin along the edge.
With the decoration, I suggest fixing at least every inch.
When we start sewing, we don\'t want this kind of thing to swing at all. 10)
When you get to another corner, re-adjust your fabric and turn it so that the part you are going to nail will face you. 11)
Flip the edge of the top fabric up so you can see about 2 inch of the bottom fabric. 12)
OK, the corner can be tricky and you might want to take a look at the photos.
I call this pinch-and-pull technique: the trim in the corner.
It will fold.
Then pull the decoration up to the edge of the woven belt around the corner.
The fold you just made should be on the outer edge of the woven band in the corner of the edge you just nailed.
Note: If your pillow is square or rectangular, then the entire decorative strip should be 90 degrees corner around the corner.
If it is a different shape, adjust the distance of the fold, the trim should follow the edge of the shape. 13)PINTHATDOWN.
Nail the trim to the bottom of the fabric.
Make sure the trim is kept in your pinch pull formation. 14)
Place your trim along the side of the fabric at the bottom, and place the woven band along the edge. 15)
Replace the fabric at the top to make sure the edges are realigned. 16)Pin the corner.
Make sure you finish all three levels. 17)
Make sure everything is lined up and plug in about 2 inch from the next corner. 18)
Pin along the edge. 19)REPEATSTEPS10-
Until you get to the last step.
When you get to the last edge, remove about half of the edges.
So that you can plug the pillow after sewing it. WITHOUT Trim: (EASY AS PIE)
This step will be quick and simple if you don\'t use trim.
I even made this version with a 4 year old. (
I actually nailed it together according to their age, but they pointed out where they wanted to put the nail next, so it was completely their project and you were just dealing with the sharp one)1)

I recommend putting a pin every 2 inch, but depending on how comfortable you sew, you can use it more or less.
If you don\'t have much experience, the more pins the better. 5)
When you fix the last edge, the left half is not fixed.
So that you can plug the pillow after sewing it.
Sew the edge of the pillow
Make sure to use a line color similar to the fabric color.
If you use a sewing machine, I suggest you sew the needle with a saw shape.
But the straight needle can also.
Sew along the inner edge of the woven belt on your decoration (
If you do not use the trim, sew with a 1/2 seam allowance.
The seam allowance is a measurement from the edge of the fabric to the position of the sewing machine to sew the fabric. )
Treat each straight edge as a straight line.
And make sure to back the needle at the beginning and at the end.
Put that half side (
You have no nails)open and un-sewn.
Take out all your pins.
Then turn over the pillow. (
Or rather, outside. )
So that your pillow is facing the outside, you can see the decoration. Awesome.
Remember, you left half of the UN. sewn?
This is where it comes in handy.
Fill your pillow with fluffy stuff, foam, whatever you find makes your pillow a pillow.
I don\'t recommend rocks or sharp things. ; )
I bought my foam plastic in a warehouse specializing in packaging materials.
Just look at your city \"re-grind EPS beads\" and you can call some places.
I made a bean bag with dan\'s Instructure and left a bunch. (
If you are going to use foam or anything in a mess, I highly recommend filling out and completing the sewing.
Then suck everything out before you bring it in.
Or do it in a very closed place, I\'m not a very personal person, so I don\'t mind confusion and cleanliness
But if you do, you might want to stick together with a handmade filling. )
Once your pillow is stuffed into the place you like, the open edge must be the hand --sewn. (
You can use the machine, but you have to stitch along the edges, otherwise it will leave a strange tag on that part. )
